I painted these Ultra Minnow Roadrunners up yesterday,tied them and then got stuck.What do you guys think would be the biggest blade size for these?They are 1/10 oz. with a size 4 sickle.I was thinking of a size 1 Colorado blade.I have'nt done any tail straightenning yet,lol.

At 1/10th oz. I'd say a size 0 or size 1 - with the angle of the swivel a size 1 might flip it over but I'd say try it. I don't have any like that so can't be sure I'm just basing it on a mepps style spinner I make and the weight of the body.
I'd put a 0 on one and a 1 on another, and see which one works better.

I looked up the ultra minnow mold the other night and only saw it listed down to 1/8th oz?
If im using colorados i go with 0's.

Make it a personal preference. This year I really started experimenting with blade size on my 1/32. First I took some meant for my 1/16 and then for the 1/8 oz. and all turned and all caught fish so my last order was for larger that what comes on a 1/32. I would get some of both what you think fits and then maybe some larger willow or even some Colorado and see what happens. All the fish I have caught for probably the last 5-6 weeks was on a 1/32 with a #1 willow and some on a #1 Colorado. The regular Roadrunners come with an Indiana blade.
I even have some willow's that are #2 and they are for my 1/8, but would use them on the 1/16 or 1/32.

I agree with Skip. The last year or so, I've gone to nearly all willow blades. I don't troll, but I flip a lot and I like the flash of the willow blade. I've tried the bronze willow but keep coming back to the nickel. I really think the willow would work well with the design of your jigs. Probably a size 0.
#0 colorado or a #1 willow.
I agree. Always go bigger with willows. I got some 00 willows one time that werent worth having.Quote:
