Ward - Tornado Alley!

Life changing moment for me and the wife Friday evening. Came back from daughters graduation at Beebe, went west toward Cabot on Hwy 38 from the Hwy 38 and 31 intersection. Well, at that point we drove directly into the tornado. 2 other vehicles and us were trapped by down power lines behind and in front of us. An enclosed utility trailer came at us but the culvert stop it from rolling over more.

Our little RX8 rocked like not other and the little car suffered many dings on the drivers side. The vehicle behind us suffered from busted windows.

So many power lines down along that stretch. I surveyed the path of the tornado and thankfully it skirted our house.

In the daylight, many broken trees stretching from Hwy 321 near Audreys to Covington, to Hwy 38 & 31, and along Hwy 31 towards Beebe!

Thank goodness. I heard that you folks in that area were hit but I thought it was more to the East. I'm so glad you're safe and the home is still there.

You never really know how powerful a tornadoe is until you experience one. I did just that last year. I NOW have a different outlook on storms in general. Glad you were not harmed..

My farm was destroyed by a tornado Feb. 5th,2008. I know how you feel. I am glad THE LORD watched over you.
