Did you get that problem with the power cord coming unplugged on your 998 figured out?
I did.. Thanx for asking.. Wasn't using HB plug so I could remove and install unit little easier. Went ahead and started using it.. Need some with sticker on fiberglass boat. Trying to remove them and old glitter residue and don't wanna destroy gelcoat.. Any suggestions??
Heat the sticker with a hair dryer....then slowly peel it off....clean up residue with WD-40.
That will work.
DO NOT use wd40 on a fiberglass boat!!!!!!!! Petroleum products seep into the gel coat and clog the pores of the gel. This will promote yellowing of the gel. Wash with soap designed for fiberglass and then wax the area.

You may be right but thats what the body shops use on Corvettes to remove sticker glue reside as well as removing bugs etc. When they get through they wash it off and apply wax.Quote:
