Would like to know if there is a color chart available example internet that tells you what color to use in clear, Stained, Muddy waters, coldness of water etc when fresh water Pan fishing etc.
I'm sure there is, but your best bet would be to talk to local fisherman who fish the same lakes as you. Post this question (or a similar one) on the KY board.
Also, tube jigs and other plastic grubs are cheap. Buy several different colors and experiment. Having said all that, I like white for clear water and chartreuse for water with a little color to it.
I use Blacks, olives, and greens in clear water to slightly stained water. In Murky water I like Bright oranges and FL. Pinks. And don't forget about a Bumble Bee pattern jig or fly, gills seem to love bees. But anywas just my two cents.
I've never done good on bream with plastic jigs...kiptail is where it's at! Keep it simple...pink/white, pink, green/blue, electric chicken are all good for me, usually no matter the water they'll hit about anything...
Bream really aren't too picky.
I know they made the color c lector for bass fishing but I dont' see why it wouldn't work for picking jig colors for crappie!!! Anybody got info on this???
