A group of guys I know are heading to KY Lake next week to fish for gills and redears. One of the guys has a new secret weapon and I can't find out what it is except I hear it is some sort of crawdad bait. Anyone have any opinions or thoughts on what it might be and where I can find them?

I can make them in about any color you want. they are 1.75 inches long

These Leland Trout Slayers are really effective. Made by the same company who make Trout Magnets. I've never used the Magnets or Trout Slayers on trout but they sure work well for panfish and bass. The Trout Slayer looks like a crawdad, is deadly on bluegill and redeye.

I appreciate the info. Had a death in the family and have to drive up to WI and won't have time to get anything for this trip. Might make a side trip to Bass Pro or Cabela's if I get a chance.

I have used them both and the spider grubs outproduced the crawdads 5 to 1 for some reason.
