I am looking for help from knowledgeable fisherman. I have a minn kota trolling motor 50 lb thrust with foot control. It is very very slow turning right and if at top speed will hardly turn right at all. Any quick fixes out there? Would it be connections--sometimes when I blow on both ends of connections it improves it for a while. I would greatly appreciate any ideas. thanks. revitup
MY PD 55 was doing this and what I finally figured out was that my battery was going bad and not holding a charge.
I would get full charge readings, but it was running down much quicker than normal over a few week period while fishing and my trollong motor started acting the very same way.
My batetry was about 4 years old but it was just worrn out and would not hold a charge as well as it used to.
I bought a new battery and problem was solved.
