Got even on Saturday

Took Dad and went to the river. Put in at Merrisach and absoultely got wore completely out catchin fish. We caught in the neigborhood of 150 for the day and kept a around 60. We did have about 15 gills and redears mixed in but mostly crappie. Size wasnt as good as I had hoped for but we did catch several really nice fish. This isnt the 2 biggest just a couple of the better ones that were on top of the pile.

We had about as much fun is as legal for a father and sone to have in one day.

Post and casting jigs. Had a recon report from my aunt and uncle on where and what jig and couldnt buy a bite where they caught em or on the color they caught all thier fish on. Water was about as clear as you ever see it down there and we didnt catch a fish on black/chart which is normally a go to bait down there.

I caught all of my fish on a jig I tied that is fools gold body/white marabou tail and Dad caught all of his on a bobby garland baby shad clear w/ silver sparkles.

CP, definitely made a memory. Cookin up a batch tonight;)

Oh and dont forget your gator repellant, they were thick!! Gnats were bad too.
