might be going to T-bird this weekend and taking my youngest brother with me for some crappie fishingthink we might go up little river any one got any suggestions only been out in a boat like 2 times on T-bird and i dont have a GPS so... i know the twin bridges are a good spot thats about the only place ive been on T-bird when i was out in the boat
Last weekend the water was right at 60 degrees, so I would start looking at the riprap and stick ups along sandy/ gravel banks.
I tried to fish T-Bird yesterday morning, my Daughter and I caught nothing. The wind was brutal and made fishing almost impossible. All the boats I saw were fishing south banks. The water temp was 63* . I talked to two separate fishermen who both said the crappie were shallow, they said about 4-6 foot, and one group had only caught five all morning. I talked to a fellow fishing deeper brush who was having no luck, as were two other boats in the same area.
Another strange year I think for catching them prespawn, in and out or just plain out. They must be suspended, but my fish finder is not good enough to see them.
I'd go up river and jig the brush along the banks. But you'll have to use HUGE baits for the fish to see them, 'cause the water is like mud with waves.
well no thanks to the rain needless to say never made it to T-bird this weekend :(
