Hit the water this morning and the water looked great. 66 to 68 degrees. Only caught 4 dinks and no one I talked to had much to say. Very slow. Think I'll give them another try Thursday.

I bass fished there Sat. and couldn't find any one who was catching crappie...I think the cool front and high pressure must have shut them down.....out of 6 lakes I fished this weekend barnett had the warmest water.
Have only been on the lake once. Can you direct me as to where to start for green carp.
Try steep banks on channel swings with a floating worm. Should work best on the dam end with clearer water.
I know there has to be some good crappie in that lake but I never can get them to bite.
Good crappie fishin down the left side heading towards the dam. Sometimes you can find 'em on the right side in a couple of spots too. I'd back out a little deeper than you'd normally look this time of year.
Probably the hardest lake I have ever fished. When you can catch fish out of Barnett consistently with good size, you can catch fish anywhere! LOL....
