Slab Sauce report 4/5
Just got a chance to give you a report on the Slab Sauce. Fished Monday using jigs with a little Sauce on em and caught 30 crappie along with some white perch, hybrid, bass and shell-cracker. I went back to the same place and fished Wed. and only caught 8 crappie and a few other fish. The kicker is I didn't have the Slab Sauce on the jigs Wednesday because I had forgot to take it with me. Was interesting to see the difference in the two days of fishing.

Slab Sauce kicks crappie butt again! Newer, thicker and super thick stuff coming soon. Great report.
How'd it stay on the bait?
And is that a crappie.com hat? hmm, I'll have to send you one. lol

I was longlining so each time I took a fish off, the sauce went back on. With thicker sauce in a container that the jig can be dipped in will be great! I think the sauce was staying on alright, but the more I used the sauce I was spending less time rubbing it onto the jigs.
No, that's not a Crappie.com hat :( :D

Stump Hunter did you use both colors of sauce, did one work any better then the other.

That day I was only using the Slab Sauce. I have used the Liquid Minnow but not enough yet to make a call on it. The Slab Sauce has a fishy smell and I believe it does help on the fish hitting the jigs. On other trips I used the sauce on the jigs only on one side of the boat and the catch rate was higher with the sauce. On one trip I used it on select rods and couldn't tell any difference with or without the sauce.
It is interesting using a new product and seeing the results of the test you try with it.
I look forward to reading other reports of both products. :)
