first for my jig

i caught a fish for the first time on a jig that i made and man did it feel god until i got it to the water line...........dang catfish.:( now marketing rivers catfish jigs.haha

If a catfish will eat it so will a bass,not sure about crappies,but you know that it looks like something now.Good job.

I catch catfish fairly often on jigs when catching crappie, even long line trolling it happened last Thursday. Thought I had a monster crappie except he seemed to want to say down so hard, LOL! Oh and it was on a Roadrunner.

Nothin wrong with catching some cats on your jigs. Enjoy it!!

I never target catfish but somehow ,some way if a catfish hits my boat guess who catches it. This is regardless of number of guests on my boat. I have been blessed ? so much with this unique talent that I could probably catch a catfish out of someone's coffee cup.

Regardless of bait , style of fishing ( even ice fishing ) catfish hone in on my offerings. Thsi is regarless of species bullhead , channel , flatheads , blues whatever they all love me.

Also the lighter the rod I use the heavier catfish I catch. My poor panfish 7-0 micro lite special has had the stuffing bent out of it by 15 lb + catfish. Probably the only way for me to get skunked on catfish would be to enter a catfish tournament. SIGH

It does feel good don't it river slab. Past few days been fishing all my own jigs and have to say, it gives me pride in my work. This year gonna try only fishing my own jigs and nothing store bought. Any ways good luck on your next trip and post some pics of your catches.
