Paint Question
What type of paint do you guys use for jig heads? I'm not necessarily looking for brands, but looking for the type you use. I'd like to begin using something other than black. The container I'm using says lure finish and doesn't really say what type of paint it is. I'm a little budget minded so options on where to buy would be appreciated.

I love the powder paint, it give a finish like no other... but. There's a certain amount of trial and error that goes with the powder paint, but once you learn how to use it... it's some real good stuff.
There's also the expense of getting started with the purchase of a toaster oven ($20) and the powder paint itself.
chuckanddebs has good prices on powder.

I agree I like power paint as well, but again it is all i have used since i started tying my jigs. The toaster over is needed for curing the paint but not something you absolutely need right away, but to get that good hard finish you need one. Can find them pretty cheap at flea markets and yard sales. I got mine for nothing off craigslist, but i live in a good area for using craigslist.

I like your signature you have there actually made me laugh

Powder paint is also the only paint that I have tried. It's just perfect for crappie and bass sized jigheads. And once you get even a 2 oz. jar, you can paint so many jigs with it.

Thanks for the replies. PMs sent. If this works out, I guess I'll be powder painting.....What's the technique on applying?

Check out youtube, there are some decent videos on there showing the techniques. Once you get the general idea, you can fine tune it through trial and error, and if you have problems, you already know where you can come for help.
