My offer back to the community.....

I've been doing a lot of thinking about this and its something I've been wanting to do. So here's the deal. I want to offer my boat, gas, tackle and time to take different groups of people fishing. I want to offer fishing trips (free of charge) to any one who is currently serving in our military armed forces that may want to go crappie fishing and cannot because of the lack of equipment or places to go.
I will also extend this offer to any kid under 18 who has the same challenges.

It's just my way of giving back to our community. I am by no means rich or the best fisherman out there but I do like to go and can at least share some boat time with someone.

I think it is a good idea I have been thinking about the kids myself it seems like the parents do not have or want to make time to teach the kids of today to fish can you may be they do not know there selfs I belive the state nature centers would give some support if they were held on there place what happened to the fishing rodoes that we had when i was a kid now around here they only seems to be when the state release trout at the nature centers Think about this one day these kids might have to depend on there skills to survail for what ever reason there are alot that could not

I am in the military stationed at LRAFB. I just got here so I dont know anyone yet. Once I get acquainted with people on base, ill keep my ears open for anyone interested. This is a great thing you are doing.

I have my first taker going with me tomorrow. It will be an expedition for the both of us as we will be fishing some new water.......that will hopefully be holding fish. I'll post results tomorrow.

I think you have a wonderful idea and I admire you for putting it into action tomorrow. Just thinking, wouldn't that be a wonderful project for the new Arkansas Crappie Club to take on as a group and all the members take a kid fishing on a regular basis? :)

Very good M M. What you are doing is awesome. Sometimes the guys at my church will take some of the youth fishing out in their boats, but it has been a while since that was done.
