New Jig Tool

Just finished curing a new batch of jig heads. For those who were asking in a different thread about the process, of powder coating here is my idea.
The first photo shows a simple cheap disposiable aluminum pie pan in which I punched holes around the outer edge. I used a leather punch, but the same effect could be acheived with a hammer and nail or a drill and bit. As you can see the jig(s) hang from the edge of the pan.
In the next pic, a heat gun is used to heat up a jig head so it can be dipped in powder coat paint.
The pan makes a great place to put your powder coat paints being used. No need to worry about spilage.
The next photo is the jig being dipped into the powder.

Perhaps as a first time poster you really DON'T understand the whole concept of crappie.com!

You can do the same as you got there and bend the side inside the pan after you make your holes,then it won't drip into your oven and your wife will never know,lol.

Thanks for the brainstorm... so simple, so right.

I use pretty much the same setup except I have the square pans and turn the edge inside and any drips are contained. Can't risk the Momma Bear taking a swap cause I dirtied the kitchen LOL

Try this one if you get a chance... Use needle nose pliers and hold the jig by the eye and dip it... Helps keep your eye clean...When a little paint builds up on your pliers you can burn it off...Just an idea that i use...
