What size do you have on there now and how many RPMs do you turn at WOT?
I have a 2006 90 hp mercury, I fish at night, and need to stay up on plane at a slow speed. so I tried different pitch props, all were ss. a 23 pitch was slow to get up on plane, but would run 54 mph and turn 53 rpm at wot. but when I dropped under 30 mph the back started sinking down off plane. I tried this 19 pitch and it would jump up on plane and run 41 mph and it will turn more rpm than is allowed. when I get on plane I have to back off the fuel. but it will stay on plane at 18 mph.which works great for my night fishing. I think the perfect ss prop for a 90 hp 2 stroke would be { 14 and 3/8 x 21" pitch } if you could find a marine that would let you try one, or a friend thats got one this size. try it before you buy it. but again I would think a 14 x 21 pitch would be what you need. ps.. when you try a ss prop, see what your rpm are at wide open throttle. and figure from their. when you go up 1 number in pitch, your motor will drop 200 rpm. and when you go down one number in pitch, your motor will rise 200 rpm"s.what you want is to get a prop, that will get as close to the max rpm at wot that your motor is rated for. with out going over. hope this helped.:):)
