Can't wait! Though it's always that last part of the trip going over the current bridge that gets the adrenaline going - of course that may be because I'm afraid of an accident and going into the lake!!
Then you definitely need to cross the new KY dam bridge on your next trip down. That sucker is wide open. :DQuote:

I sure hope they paint them?? The new style of rusty bridges is down right uuugly!! The new 62 KY. Dam bridge and ajoining RR bridge is left to rust with the idea that it will last longer. Rust is ugly. I liked the old view of going over Kentucky Dam. It was one of the best veiws of the lake. Sometimes progress is less desireable. My 2 cents worth.
I've always imagined that steering one of those beasts would be "interesting". Used to live near Louisville and used to watch the traffic above and below the locks. Those boats can push a lot of water when they need to.Quote:
