Take some regular orange (not fluorescent orange) and add some brown to tone it down to get the shade you want. That's how I would do it.
Cadman,
That sounds like a great Idea but that is the problem and I can't find any reg orange, all I can find is the bright/flo. orange no reg or burnt orange.
crazy angler has some PP named real craw....very close to burnt orange.
You can make burnt orange with Blaze oranges PP.
First coat will be your blaze orange, then use copperhead (just a quick dip) for a second coat... the copperhead is a translucent brown and will tone the blaze orange down to a burnt orange, no need to mix paint.
Be sure to cure the first coat of orange before you apply the copperhead, this will make it much more durable and prevent dripping of the second coat.
I don't know how much you can tell from this pic, it isn't that good... but this is a half black half burnt orange using the process described above.

I accidentally made something similar when I took some messed up black heads, heated them up and then dipped them in flo. orange and finished in the oven. I'll try to find some pics later and post.
In that case, I wish I was doing a lot more research and development.
