Okay guys, how much of a difference in performance would be found when going from a 10 3/8 x 14 pitch prop to a 10 1/2 x 13 pitch prop. Anything noticeable? Both are for my boat 05 Tracker PT 175 50 Horse Mercury. Both props were recommended. I currently have the 10 3/8 x 13 but it's pretty scarred up. I understand going down in pitch increases RPM's but I'm going up in diameter.
What RPM are you running at WOT now, and what is the max recommended RPM for your motor?
Thanks for responding, WOT was about 5200 or 5300, recommended was 5500 on the high end and 5000 on the low.Quote:

most props increase diameter as pitch drops. 1/8 inch isn't going to matter. i'd go with the 13 pitch aluminum. if you go stainless, that depends on the brand. if it's an agressively cupped prop you might would go with a 12.
