New HB 898c

Just got my new HB 898c si unit. WOW is it gonna be nice having that! I want to say that I ordered it from J and H products and their service was phenominal!!! I will buy all my boat electronics from them!!! Can't wait to get the boat out of storage tomorrow and start the installation process. Hope to get on water somewhere next weekend to setup/play around.

Installed mine earlier in the week and got it out first time yesterday.

It was nice! I found out how far back in the stoneage I had been with my older electronics.

SI is the cat's meow, but I was equally impressed with DI. I happened over 3 schools of fish during my little one hour test drive, unfortunately, I purposely left the rods at home.

With the sun in my face, amber1 seemed to give me a better view. I could see the blue good when in the shadows but preferred amber1 when out in the sun.

I thought there was going to be a steep learning curve with this, but was pleased at how quickly I was able to make adjustments to get a better picture.

Even the wife was impressed. When I froze the DI and showed her the first school of fish, she said that "We would have never fished here" and I replied "And this is probably some fish that we've been missing out on".
