Blue Gill Flies &
On another board someone ask about flies and jigs for bluegills so I posted a few and thought you guys may enjoy seeing some of them.
Got some flies and have some jigs too and like tying for them little hard fighting fish, especially when the big-uns come in. I will just post a few of my flies. I do have a lot of little jigs that should be really good for the gills.

That's on a whole new level. Once you get that good how can you improve? Awesome just awesome. You are an artist

Thanks guys I appreciate it. One thing though I have not tried a Realistic one yet and probably wont as they just take too long to tie. Some of them can take 100 hours or probably more on some things. Just don't have the time or I would try them on one of my extra vises so it could just sit in there when not working on it.
I did try to get as close as I could on the wasp, but I didn't spend the time I could have to make things even better.
Really some guys do things that are just unbelievable. So one way to imporve is just to tie what you tie better and the other is to go to something more difficult, like a Realistic or even a crab like that pretty famous Japanese guy ties. Here is a pic of his work....

FYI, he even makes the legs out of latex gloves, LOL! I just can't see taking that long to make a fly. I would I guess though if I didn't do what I do. I mean just the legs, he has to cut what he needs, shape them some way, paint them like that and then tie them in.
You guys should look up or do a search of Realistic Flies if you want to see some really crazy stuff.
Here are a couple sites that will make you crazy...

Looking good Skip I really like the bee with biot wings. I really enjoy messing with biots they can be used for so many applications. Been building up ideas and have even cut a few foam popper heads for bluegill poppers, been sticking with soft hackle, nymphs, and chironomid patterns so far but will be trying my hand at some dries and foam dries soon. Its nice to see some flies on here as well. I will have to get around to posting some pictures of some of my panfish flies one of these days.

Yes guys flies are really neat stuff and since I was a little kid I have taken trout dry flies and put a split shot in front of them to catch bream. They have always like that and works well with ultra light spinning gear.
I hope to do a little more fly fishing this year, but I had that plan last year and just didn't fish enough. Will change that this year and jigs will just need to let me out a couple hours at a time this spring at least maybe 3 times a week.
Jubs yes by all means post some pics of your flies. Actually I feel such freedom when I get to tie for my self every once in a while and I really enjoy tying flies a lot.
I just pulled these out because someone was posting pics of jigs and flies for bream and actually have a good many other than these. It is so cool all the things you can make for tying flies.
Right now I want a Jungle Cock cape in the worst way and don't even know how I will use the nails yet, but I know that I can make some great looking stuff with them.
Thanks guys,
