Odd color
Went early and stayed til 9, had things to do. We always talk of the jigs we tie that we pass by, overlook, don't think they'll work, or just sit in the box. A while back I took a 4'9" u/l rod and tiny reel and put 2lb diameter braid on it for throwing smalls. It had a brown chenille/brown maribouw/pearl crystal flash on the end when it came out of the rod box. Caught 25 or so today and 20 came on that little brown jig. Whoda thunk:confused:? Of course I'll be tying more. Had a great morning:D, posted some pics on the main forum. Thanx for lookin.

It's always good to get confidence in another color because then you just have more go to colors and a better chance one will work.
Good for you,
Skip
As an after though I wanted to show you these a guy had me tie for him. He said he wanted the bright one and I was to make the rest for bluegills and I really liked the top left one with a brown head and a craw brown body of Buggy Yarn with a burnt orange tail. The more I look at it the more I like it. I have been tying that Buggy Yarn for a few years now and like it more and more. You can pick it to make it look more buggy too.
If you want to see it here it is...

Nice ponies Skip. Size of the jig was small too, might have been part of the deal. Ultra lite bites, barely saw the rod tip move. Only felt about 5 or 6 hits. 41 degree water I guess that's about normal.

My orange/brown/yellow is a killer jig...brown isn't used alot cause its not flashy but it catches fish.
