hds setting
I read on another post about the unknown transducer type and I got that set. But I was wondering what settings over all you guys use to get the best image on the sonar part. I got my SI part down and it is awesome. I would like to hear what you guys are using for settings to get the best sonar pic.

Tritonman,
Honestly all I can tell you is to adjust one way then adjust the other and then set it in the middle. I know that sounds like crap but everybodys lake is a little different. Here on Kentucky Lake, I fish from 2-20 feet of water and the water visability ranges from 2 inches one day to 2.5 feet depending on the rain. My settings are:
Sensitivity - 72%
Frequency - 200
Ping Speed - 19
Pallette - 13 I like this pallette because it give great target seperation from the bottom.

You can go to sonar page + sonar. That will give you 2 screens to compare different settings looking at the same picture. <*)}}}><

I'll try to explain this feature. While you have 2 sonar screens up, one screen will be highlighted. You can make all kinds of changes on that screen while still looking at where you started from. Change sensitivity, frequencies, palettes(screen colors), color lines, etc., till you get the screen picture you like. <*)}}}><
