Is there a way to make a home made lead mold?

Just wondering if there is a way to made a home made lead jig head mold?

Yes but it quires some machine equipment. Drill press,lathe, press. Most of the time you can buy a mold from Do-It molds Denver, Iowa. or ebay cheaper than you can make one. If you don't have alot of skill making things or are not handy. Some times its cheaper just to buy cast heads and tie them up.
there are a number of guys here that can help you out with cast heads.

You can make mold with high temp RTV. Hilts Molds sells a kit with the RTV and the mold housing. Check out tackleunderground.com for mold making (they use to have a tutorial for a real neat spinnerbait).

You might go the custom mold route - have 2 molds from the Crazy Angler – big bang for the buck.

I've been tempted to buy the replica mold so I can pour the flying lure jig. They cost so damned much for 5 of the molded ones' I can make cheaper with the replica.

Course they'res a bunch of different heads I'd think about copying if I had it.
