I recently bought a HB 788ci. The gps may not be a big deal on small lakes, but on the bigger lake like bullshoals and norfork it is handy to make your favorite fishing spot, drop offs and ledges. I all so bought the Hot Spot maps for the southern regions. The color screens are a real plus in fish finding. Good uck with your choice. Roughneck
if you are an open water fisherman...a gps is a must...helps eliminate the guessing game
save the waypoints! I agree with the Goul! If you fish in several lakes...just being able to get back to exactly where you were when you were catchin fish on previous fish ... really a good thing!
I just put a used HB737 that I bought for $200 on Ebay, to go wwith an earlier HB wide optic and the GPS on the bow is the way to go. Press the mark button and you have saved a waypoint(when u catch a fish or droped some structure in the lake) P.S. any Guru know how to name a waypoint instead of waypoint #57??????
Much appreciated
