can you cure powder paint and vinyl paint at the same time with out messing either one up. got both PP and vinyl on the same jig and goin to cure them but not sure if it will mess em up or not i think it would be ok but not sure need some help please thanks :)
cure the powder paint first then add the vinyl. when done use a clear coat vinyl type.
Although I have never used the two together to paint a jig, I would say definitely no. Vinyl paint is reduced with lacquer thinner and lacquer thinner is very volatile and very flammable. You would be better off to powder paint then bake and then put on vinyl paint. I also believe, that vinyl paint will eat at certain powder paints and discolor it. I have tried it on some powder paint colors and I got bad results. Can you tell me why you are doing it this way? I'm curious.

i used black vinyl jig paint as detail for the lateral line for my baby bass and the dot for my threadfin shad and srry about the small pics, took them with the wife's Iphone, takes better pics that our regular camara lol :)
You can do the same “detailing” with permanent markers (will take heat) or mix powder paint with embossing fluid (still playing with this and have mixed results). There are a few companies that are offering a liquid to mix your powder paint.
I think your vinyl paint is going to "fry". As others have said, cure your PP first.

You are asking for trouble and a house fire if you are putting vinyl paint into a toaster oven. You may end up toast by doing that!!!!
Cure the PP and then add details later. No worth going to your grave over a jig in a toaster oven. Be safe......not sorry later!
we use vinyl paint and powder paint together all the time like all the other guys I put powder paint on first and put it in the oven. Then I put vinyl paint over that with clear coat.be careful vinyl paint will make powder paint come off just make sure that the powder paint is cured properly.
