Does anyone know if you are supposed to get a better view with the shielded transducer that they sent me. I was having trouble with my 787 up front getting interferance from my trolling motor but my 797 at the console is acting fine. I am just trying to decide if it will be worth the trouble to swap out. Thanks:confused:
You should get a better view but only because the transducer they sent you has additional shielding that the original transducer did not.
I was going to install it but the original transducer mount does not eork on the new transducer. Was I supposed to get a new mount in the kit?
Not sure if they normally send a new set of mounting hardware or not. I'm at home and the answer is on my work PC...
Just call the Humminbird Customer Resource folks at 1-800-633-1468 and tell them you did not get the hardware and that you need it.
The same thing happened to me. Called them and they shipped it out the next day.
New transducer hardware is not included with the interference kits. You will need to call 1-800-633-1468 and ask that they ship it out to you.

The reason is that the interference kits were designed for the larger Si units which are already using this same transducer and so would have the needed transducer hardware.
Just talked to your CS and they are sending me the bracket.
Greg...I also just ordered the interference kit for my 1197...
Are you saying the image resolution will actually be better...or will it just be clearer because the interference will not be cluttering the screen...??
