Bobby Garland 3" Slab Slayers

Decided to pick up a collection of Bobby Garland 3" Slab Slayers last week. My cousin has been using them at LOZ with good results. I like the larger size of these, we've never had a lot of luck with the smaller slab-busters at LOZ, (although I like the garlic scent).

I painted up some orange and white heads over the weekend too


Also our regular go-to LOZ grubs, (right) The Red-White with the clear sparkle tail is $$ all the time.

The 3" BG slab slayers are killer on Truman. When it gets hot I tip them with a minnow or Gulp 3" minnow with great results.

Congrats on your luck. Wooly beavertails are a good oversized bait on LOZ, too, FWIW. Black/pink combo has been great in that particular bait for me.

Good looking baits. How do you like those weedless jigs?

Love them at LOZ. I dont like pulling brush around when hung up. Sometimes crappie are huddled by a little snag of brush that will move easily so I dont like to disturb them, and dont like retying all the time.

I dont think I miss any more bites with them, and the time saved not retying, is well worth it in my opinion.

Thanks, I'am giving some thought to trying them.

If you think that the fibers might be too stiff, too long, or too many of them, you can easily trim them with nail clippers.

Crappie Pro

Any of you fellas use these weedless hook guards? Started using them last year, and they are excellent. I don't like to fish with weedless jigs all of the time, and these are easy to throw on a jig without having to re-tie.
