Planning Building Conversion.

Going to commit the back third of one of my outbuildings to TYING. As some of you know I tie in an outside unheated garage. Winters have always played havoc with me.

I do ice fish so while not impervious to the cold I do have a high tolerance for it. But I ain't getting no younger. So while I was outside the other day the idea kinda hit me.

My back building is already wired for electricity. In the back it has a drop ceiling for above head storage. I figure I will have about an 8 X 16 foot room dedicated to pouring , painting and tying jigs. I will only have to erect one wall and install a door in the wall to complete this.

Building it will be the easy part. Getting my other junk and stored out of the way will be the majority of the work. Hope to be done before lakes open up up here. MAGNUM MAN CAVE HERE I COME.:eek:

Oh,your wife will know where you are if she can't find you now,lol.

You go for it buddy!! You'll find that it's a lot easier when everything is
right at hand and if ya put in heat, you're good for all year! Im fortunate to
have 2/3 of a heated basement dedicated to rod building, lure making, pouring, painting and tieing jigs. The wife uses part of it for her flower creations, but we have plenty of room and use it constantly summer and winter. I'd be lost without it. Hey, we're not gettting any younger, time to
enjoy the time that's left by doing the things we like!!!!!!

Remember ventilation if you're working with lead inside. Post pics. I work inside and don't pour my own. I have enough other addictions, maybe later.

I can't stress enough about the importance of proper ventilation. I have friends in the buisness and they get checked for lead in there blood and the winter months it really shows up.Lead is some bad stuff in the wrong places.I always pour with ventilation and always wash my hands after handling anything lead. I am working on a powder paint both. That stuff goes everywhere. Hope your jig-cave turns out great !!!!
