Anyone have luck pulling cranks now? Wondering even in March get shallow runner like a 200 bandit?
I'm sure you could still catch a couple right now on cranks Kevin, but generally you need water temps of atleast 60 or more to be very productive.
for a couple hours just to try it and not a bite. Course we only had 3 bites the whole day. LOL
I was told that the best water temp for cranks was 75 to 80 when you should start pulling cranks. It works for me.

From what I have read it seems as though the key is that the fish are more active in the warmer water. They are less likely to chase down a crankbait in colder water. It seems like a slower presentation is needed in cold water.
