Got the new terrova and I-pilot out today for a good workout. Did some muskie fishing on Kinkaid Lake in IL. The fish didn't cooperate, but did figure out how to use some of the features. The track feature is fantastic, but I can't for the life of me figure out why they don't allow you to record a track with the trolling motor stowed. I kind of figured out a way around it however, if you have the motor in the stowed position and want to save a track with the gas motor, just push in the deploy button, hit record, run your track with the gas motor, when you are done use the trolling motor to retrace.
I did this several times, would just slowly drive the shoreline that I wanted to cast to while recording, get to the end and run my track. Saves a lot of hassle, don't have to mess with the trolling motor at all. This is fantastic feature once you get it figured out.
