Beginner Vise ?
Ok, guys I want to thank you all, cause now I have the itch to start tying my own crappie jigs. I have read every post on the topic, and have gathered a lot of great info. But I have one question. I know a lot of you recommend buying a good name brand vise, and I dont disagree with the ideaology. But, I want to buy something that is cheaper and efficient to just test the waters. I have looked at a lot of reviews on the cheaper vises from cabelas and bass pro, but the reviews are so mixed, it is hard to get a clear conclusion. So what I am trying to say is, I am going to buy a cheaper vise to start, bottomline. But I know some cheaper vises are probably superior of others, so any guidance would be much appreciated. Thanks guys.

I appreciate the response and the info guys. But, I checked out the crazy angler site and found no vises. I e-mailed them so hopefully I hear from them soon.

Spoke with him today and I think he said that he has some. If not PM me and I will see what I can dig up at a reasonable price for you. I have the Peak and doubt that would be the low end of a vise you are looking for, but I have access to others too.

Harleyboy posted a while back he had one he had made that he'd cut you a deal on. Just kidding. You might as well find one you like and save your nickels. Not too many people that actively fish put this down after starting. Look up a head doc while you're at it cuz it's addictive!!lol
