EXPRESS crappie jon?

I am considering buying a new EXPRESS 16' carppie jon rig made in Hot Springs. Any input or advice will be appreciated!

You should take a look at the crappie jon made be alumnacraft. i got one and i love it! It is also made in arkansas. I bet the express is great boat as well.

I have a 17' Xpress panfisher, good boat, I do have a few complaints, one is that the gas tanjk is only 6.5 gallons and no room for expansion unless you bring another fuel tank with you, dont know if that's the layout in your boat, but you might want to check. I have a 60 HP Yamaha, so even with only 6 gallon tank it has decent range, but if you're doing a lot of running around you need to keep an eye on it. Other than that I think it's good value for the money.

I have a 1987 AlumaWeld (Express) 16' x 48'' and with low sides it holds well in the wind jiggin brushpiles. High sided boats are **** to hold with a little breeze.;)

I just bought a 15-46 Xpress with the crappie setup. 25hp Yamaha with triller steer. Been a great boat so far. It hasn't been fishing, but is awesome for duck hunting.

I bought a weld bult from Memphis and saved a ton of money bought everything seprate from diffrent places only 4500 in my new rig:D:D

I have a 16' 1994 Alumaweld Crappie Jon stick steer with a 40hp Suzuki. I bought it new and still have it so that says something about my satisfaction with the boat. The only real complaint I have with my rig is with the batteries being located under a fixed cover in the rear. To me, they are a pain to get to. Other than that, I really like it. I'll bet that design problem has been fixed by now. I don't think you would be sorry if you got the Express. That's my 2 cents worth.

You might want to look at the SeaArk Cast & Blast 150. I don't have one, but it looks like it would be one sweet boat if you are crappie fishing and duck hunting.

I have an older (1995) Alumaweld Express and I love it. Use a 40 Evilrude and it goes close to 30 as shown on my GPS. It fairly heavy, but fishes good in the wind and the tm pulls it along real good. I have thought of trading, but with all the upgrades i have done, i cant think of a better boat. Some have more bells and whistles, but for general fishing, the one i have can't be beat. I even pulled it to Florida and fished in Sarasota Bay with it. I've had it for three years and i really like it. I may upgrade the motor to a merc 50 but that would be all i would do. Been a real good boat.

I have a old sick steering Lowe(97Model) that still works great. However stick stearing boats have limits. If all your fishing is small lakes. Conway,Overcup etc. A stick is great. If you would like to venture on bigger waters. Grees Ferry, Greeson, Degray. You might look @ the Wider High sided modes from lowe they make a 175 & 195. The 175 is 17.5 Ft long and 89 inches beam That almost as wide as the large Fibergglass bass rigs.The 195 is the same width and 19.5Ft Long. Both have the ability of spiderriging two men in frount with live wells and live baitwells frount and rear. The 175 riged out is about 12 grand. Good luck Nolan
