not sure about the brand . my motor is a evinrude . i use a UL77JC4 champion i think.some come with the surface gap which will foul easier with rich running motor or long period of idling . always after a long period of slow or idle speed run at WOT and burn out all the build up of oil .the newer motors with oil injection i think put less oil when idling . thats what a mercuray . mechanic told me .
I have a 86 johnson that likes NGK plugs. It idles better and i get better RPM at Hi end.
This will be the 3rd season those Advance plugs have been in my motor. I keep a spare pair in the boat but ain't changing them till they foul!
is the NGK serface gap or the adjustable ? the serface gap does better for high performance
NGK in all my boats. What ever you do, make sure to get the smae size(#'s) that are equivilant to your old ones
98 2 stroke Mercury I put the old plugs back in since I was stuck on the water and it run fine after starting. I always carry extra plugs. I did cut the oil mix down everso slightly. I want to see it smoke some.
Just take Dan with you and an extra paddle...You'll be just fine:D
