Linking two units together?

Guys,
I have a 768 combo on the console and a 778C upfront. My question is which unit should be unit one and unit two? I have the interlink system and I'm just not sure what to do, I'm new to this so anybody that has done this please help a brother out!:D

Not sure it matters. But I have my console unit connected to port 1 on the interlink and bow unit on port 2.
