Your $200 buget is your :( downfall. Unless you can find a used one, you'll just have to 'bite the bullet' and spend more. <*)}}}><
Referring to the M68 and X67, other than the size of the screen, please inform me how I will reap the benefits on a more expensive unit? The one I have now is accurate as can be. I see where side and down scan sonars are a huge help. But on a regular DF, what's the difference? The 565 and 570 HB units are good, so are the lowrance 480 and eagle 320 (which is on clearance now for $110)
I'm getting old :eek: and have trouble seein smaller screens :D When you 'split' screens to have maps & sonar at the same time,,,, you will want a bigger screen. JHO. <*)}}}><
Where is the Eagle unit on sale at?
If seeing structure and bait is your main objectives, any that you have mentioned will do that. It doesnt take a higher priced color unit to see those things. Eagle units are good, both the 320 and the 480 (got both). I also have a HB727 that'll do the same thing. Personally, I'd love having something with maps (GPS) on the front so when trolling you can stay on the creek channel edges as well as following structure lines but for a decent pixel count (480 X 480, or better) you gonna have to spend more than $200.:o
i heard from a friend of mine that that works at bass pro with the depth finders that lowrance is gonna stop making the eagle units. i have a 642 eagle and love it.
