KY Lake Success
I caught the limit today at Ledbetter Creek on Kentucky Lake. All the fish were really nice. 2 went about 1 3/4 lbs each. I fished the mouth of the creek in 23 to 24 FOW (actually that's what my depth finder read, but the water is really a little deeper because the transducer is on my trolling motor). The fish were caught slow trolling (spider rigging) on either minnows or panfish assassin jigs (lemon-drop yellow with 1/8 oz orange heads). I started about 10am fishing 23 ft deep, but when I quit about 3:30pm, the fish were biting aggressively at 20 ft deep.

Like hearing that kinda news. I think i may fish this weekend instead of duck hunt.

Congrats on the limit. Keep after em'. They should stay there for a while.:)

Good to hear they were biting. Looks like a lot of rain and fluctuation with the temps over the next 7 days, might disrupt things a bit. I'm going to try to get after soon myself....weather permitting.

Sorry, no pics...but it was a nice day. On top of the nice crappie, I caught 8 bass of decent size, 2 small stripes, and 2 large drum (the biggest went close to 10 lbs). Of course, I released all of them. I've caught an exceptional number of bass while trolling this year (as compared to other years) in both Barkley and Kentucky lakes. The bass fisherman ought to have a great spring! I've really caught some dandies. As as added plus, I saw four bald eagles in the trees there at Kenlake. I was at Reelfoot Lake this past Saturday and didn't see that many!
