Another little bit of info. i put both the updates on one card. I did not know if it would work or not. Restored to default settings on both units. Then both units up dated in a no problem manner.
For guys that have multiple units that need updating its nice to know that you can down load all on same card. Units have the ability to ignore the software that does not apply to itself.
Hays... not sure if you saw my other post, but what you said here kind of covers what I was asking...
If I don't know what downloads have been done on my units (I have a 797 and 788 that were on a boat I purchased)...should I just download the most recent on a card and put it in the units and turn it on... OR, should I download all the updates and put them in?
Joby answered your question. In case you didn't know he works for and is one of our resident experts on everything humminbird. I know quite a bit but my knowledge pales greatly compared to Joby and Greg.
Don't be hesitant about contacting their customer sevice they are all great people to work with.
