damaged transducer
Hi guys, I have been reading and enjoying the forum for quite a while now and love trying( I repeat) trying, to catch crappie. I learn something new everytime I go to this website.Someone mentioned that they broke the transducer off of their trolling motor and had to buy a new transducer. There is a company that makes an almost indestructable bracket that fits over the transducer. It works great, if you want to see one, go to www. stumpjumper. com .I broke the neck off of mine but didn't break the cable and it works fine. Cost is about 40 bucks, but it beats 60 for a new transducer , and you will never have the problem again. I called Tom at Motor Techs,Suffolk, Va. 1-800-559-6633, they ship ,everywhere. Can be bought for Lowrance PDT101 or Humminbird PDT102 Hope this is of some help. Keep those post coming.I love to read them.
