Stolen Fishing Equipment Case Update!
Well I just checked Missouri Case Net on the guy from Peculiar, MO who was charged with stealing the stuff out of Boats last year out of Bucksaw Marina.
It seems his high dollar lawyer out of PRAIRIE VILLAGE, KS is doing his job of delaying everything.
On 11/9/2009 he finally had his Arraignment.
But his plea hearing was rescheduled and continued on 1/4/2010 to 2/22/2010
Anyone who wants to look at the case can view it at: https://www.courts.mo.gov/casenet/base/welcome.do
The case number is 09CA-CR00958-01
I can't tell if he is out on Bond or not from the information online. So it looks like we are all going to have to watch our stuff at Spring Camp at Bucksaw! I already have 1 wireless security camera hooked up to the RV and I can put another one up in about 10 minutes to watch my boat. Still have enough shells in 9 mm, 357 and 38 specials to hold off a small army.
I guess we all need to do another mass email to Teresa Hensley, Cass County, Prosecuting Attorney to express our concerns about the time this case is taking getting to court. I know I for one never got a reply from my last email to Prosecuting Attorney Hensley. So she don't impress me one bit!
For those of you who don't have her email address it is: [email protected]
Her mailing address, phone number and fax number is:

Please for the good of all of us fishermen and fisherwomen we need to keep up the pressure on this case to see that this jerk don't get away with a light sentence. Which I think is going to happen if someone doesn't keep some pressure on the Prosecuting Attorney. Look folks the orginal Grand Jury Indictment was Filed on 10/23/2009. And the first charge of Receiving Stolen Property was Filed on 3/17/2009. None of our stuff at Bucksaw will be safe until this jerk is put away.
I know for one I have enough boat insurance as I increased my coverage on everything before I left to go south to sell fireworks. And the RV trailer is covered good by insurance. But I still have good old time rods in my boat that couldn't be replaced at any cost due to them being out of production. And I would sure hate to see them stolen and then sold on Ebay for nothing.
Has anyone else heard anything on this case? Does anyone else have any ideas on what we can do as a group to get something done?
Dan
