Nimrod was mostly frozen over on the west end today. Went out to run my nets and had to run back and forth to open up a hole. Then had trouble getting them resunk with all the floating ice chunks. Durn boat took several minutes to get off the trailer, it was frozen the bunks. Sure feels weird scooting across the frozen lake with ice flying out both sides of the boat.
But did you have fish? I guess you have to run nets, no matter what the weather is, don't you?
Yea they need to be run regularly. Sort of like the post office , rain or shine.
I caught over 300 lbs. Mostly Buffalo and Catfish. Need to buy some fresh fish?
Got a freezer full! Already gonna have to buy another freezer when I start back fishing after the thaw, or eat a bunch of fish!!!
When do you reckon Sunlight Bay will be thawed enough to fish???
