Is there anyone who knows how to replace the end on a 997c SI cable? I broke a pin off and lost the left side of my SI. Thanks Lonnie

Call manufacturer and tell them one of your connector pins broke off, hopefully they will offer you a free transducer. If not ask if they replacment connectors. Usually connectors are stripped and soldered up. If you dont have the tools a new transducer may be better. Sometimes there are deals on transducers on ebauy if you know the part number
Hmmm, robbor prolly gave you the right answer, but take a close up pic of the ducer end and take it to radio shack. Tell them you want to look at their cable making supplies. They make the pin ends (cheap) and a tool for pushing them into the cable ends. Now, this won't be easy, cause they're not designed to be do-it yourself kind of things (couldn't charge for that now could they). You'd have to cut away the shielding on the back side and prolly some of the back of the cable end to get access to where you'd push a new pin through. Gonna be tedious work and potentially you'll slice another cable at the same time trying to fix the one. Might want to mic the pin size as well. Think they make a couple of diameters and lengths as well. Prolly will look jacked up when you get done, but if it works, you've salvaged a $100 plus transducer right?
Worth a shot as you've got a non working ducer as it stands.
