Just asking for a lil info

Hi everyone, I have lived in Nc now for a little over a year and just returned from an 11 month deployment to Iraq. So i was just recently able to bring my boat to NC. I crappie fish every chance i get and love to do so rain or shine. I really want to fish Falls and Jordan but have never been on either. Does anyone have any advice for good public ramps and a good place to start out once i put my boat in. I know this site is great for receiving good dependable information and I thought id try to get some before i gave fishing on these 'new to me' lakes a go. Thanks in advance :D

Here are is a list of the Free ramps at Falls Lake:
Upper Barton: Try along the western shore line leading to and around the 98 Bridge.

Hwy 50: You can try near beverdam, 50 bridge, Newlight Road bridge.

Ledge Rock: you can try near the standing timer to the left of the ramp, or go right and fish around the point, there is a flat there where you can get into some fish

Hickory Hill <-- I do not recomend using this ramp right now in the Upper Part of the lake due to under water hazards..

Also don't forget the Eno River...it empties into Falls Lake and that is probably your best bet to catch fish right now...Put in at the Redmill Road Boat ramp and head down stream and look for fish near the Mouth of the Flat River.

This should give you some starting point on Falls.

Wow. You know... every time i post a question or just want a little advice, the people on c.com always answer better than my expectations. You guys are great!

You can put in at 64 ramp and go straight out until you are even with the bridge and start trolling the ledge there or go up under the bridge to your left and start trolling on the west side of the bridge there it has a good drop off these are good places if you need to get out of the wind and I have caught some nice fish jigging around the bridge pileings,any dark color should produce either trolling or jigging .And thank you sir for your service to our country and to the people of the USA I applaud you.from a ex soilder.
