Caught fish 15-25 fow. Water temps ranged from 39-44 and was murky to muddy depending on where you were. Fish caught on minnows and red/white tube jig.

Rest assured that I WILL be comin down to GRL, next year !! It's been too long since I've fished that lake. If I don't have my own boat, or can't get either of my fishing buds to bring me ... I may just pack the truck, head on down, and stand around at the launch ramp until someone takes pity on me ;) (which ramp do you use, by the way :confused: :D )

I'll keep you in mind !! March sounds like a good time to start. Do you fish the river (Holmes Bend) area around that time ... or up around Robinson Creek area ? When I used to go down there, it was always around the third week of April ... State Park area - around the island - and some of the creeks off of Robinson Creek. Tube jigs & Roadrunners were always reliable, once they were close to the bank .. but, minnows were also used, especially if the fish were still staging or pre-spawn.Quote:
