Proud Dad

Got a phone call this morning from my 70 year old mother. She told me that my son, Daniel Johnson, was in the newspaper. I asked what he got arrested for/ she laughed and said he received national recognition in FFA by receiving the America Award in Indianapolis, In last month. This is the first I've heard about it. Mr. Modest forgot to mention it to his folks. When I called him to ask about it, he said "It's not a big deal Dad." I asked when did he go to Indianapolis? He said "I'm not going to drive all the way there just to walk across a stage, shake some hands and get a piece of paper. They will just mail it to me." Kids!!!! What you going to do?

That's cool Chris, some of my best times in High School were in FFA Eaton, Colorado.

Congrats to him and to you for raising such a modest kid that did not want to make a big deal out of it. That is an award to be very proud of so congrats to all..

Glad to hear it, congratulations. He is probably not excited because FFA tends to be a little award happy at times.
