what kind of quickcrete

What type of quickcrete do y'all use and how wet do you make it? I made a few bucket condos and my crete seemed awfully stiff. Although I mixed it per the directions on the bag, it was still stiff and tough to move around the condo structure. Do you add additional water or just poke it a bit more?

Just pour in the bucket dry, then wet it with the hose, no mixing.

I put in a little extra water, it makes working in it easier but first I drill a couple of small holes in the bottom of the bucket to let excess water out.... lets the concrete set up quicker too.......
