I'm working through a variety of new Down Images collected in rocky areas....places that have many small rocks, a smaller number of very big rocks, and of rocky wing dams in rivers. A few images are included here. As soon as I have the article finished up, I'll let everyone here know. do you see any fish in these pictures?
Here is one large fish, either a walleye or a cat, sitting over some rocks.
Here is a group of smaller fish riding high on the back side of a wingdam.
how in the world can u tell that is a fish? that thing is at least 2 1/2ft high. it looks more like a hurdle

I know that in dirty water you could not do this but in saltwater it would be possible. For those of us that are confused on what we are seeing on these down imaging and side imaging shots think about this. Would it or would it not clear up so much especially on what fish would show up as if they could run the split screens and have an aqua-view camera rolling???? Ive said this ever since these high dollar units came about. If That 2.5 tall symbol is in fact a large walleye or catfish how in the heck could you tell. No matter what your answer is it will still be hard for many people to believe. Doesnt look any different than a piece of structure on the bottom. The best think they could do is run the split screens with an aquaview running to prove what is being seen on the downimaging and side imaging. Yeah its no problem to determine a boat lieing on the bottom or a car but its still not helping me locate the fish.
That is because there is no such thing as a fish finder.;)
Heres fish and I find fish with mine each trip. For people that think they don't show fish. Heres some shots with fish. And caught fish out of them.
Also have some from last week where i found fish 150ft left of the boat. Marked them and took the trolling motor with the waypoint shared between the units. Went to that spot and caught 7 fish fast out of a ball of fish about the size of a couch. Theses are still on the SD card will try to get them on here also.
Around 75 crappie were caught from this one also. Show fish in 2-d and SI also.
