Fishing Buddy

I'm looking for a fishing buddy that would like to teach an old man the ins and outs of spider rigging and jig fishing.

I have a bass boat, party barge and camper. I need someone who would liketo teach a hard headed old man how to do it the right way (I already know the wrong ways). What little crappie fishing I've done has been with minnows.

I am a 64 years old, retired and live in East End between Little Rock and Sheridian.

If I knrw anything about spider riggin', I would love to help you out, but I myself know nothing about it.

I can suggest going to Conway and fishing the pool off of Gold Creek. You will see many techniques this time of year. The crowds should be thinning out some. What I know about it, I learned there or here on this sight.

Suprized you can't find a railroaderthat fishes at Nimrod. There are lots of them that fishes there, many have cabins at Carter Cove.

I only flyfish, and fished a few years ago with a spider rig fella and I out fished him and thought that is a pain in the neck. I am a old fisherman also (72) in N/WI but during Feb/Mar I camp in the Camden area yearly and do well on flys. I believe u will always catch more on flys. I don't bring my boat to ARK. but fish smaller water ways with my cataraft. If interested in learning flyfishing (I always have along 4 or 5 rods & reels of different wgts.) we could meet and I could get u started.
