When You Think You've Seen--------!

It all I've been on vacation for awhile got My deer Hunt'in out'ta the way went Slab bustin at Palestine Yesterday and fixin to head back it's kind'a cold right fish running fairly deep? Ya think yesterday morning got on a crazy patteren pulled up to a top cast out a golden/carrot shad patteren had My line spoted at 20' didn't make 6' pulled in a nice crappie bout the next 1 hour and 1/2 this went on shad boiling the water crappie pushing them up I caught 30 no deeper than 8' ,fishing! 32' of water switched to a shrimp/pink shad patteren very 1st cast caught the one in the pic. its 16 and 3/8's weighed 1lb 13 ozs. kind'a thin now here's the story while I was reeling this fish up bout 2' below the surface I saw 2 more crappie 1 bout the same size and 1 no kidding bout 6-8 inches longer than this one and about 4" across the back!:eek: thats right a 5 lb plus fish by eyeballing BTW I'm headed back in the next few minutes I have to try out the shad jig swap jig whole new thing hope it works!ended up with 41 and 22 keepers all 1pound plus fish JJJ wish ya'd been there!

Sounds like the vacation was more than productive. Glad to hear ya had fun. That one you saw sounds like it will blast a shad if you put it in front of them, hopefully a hand tied one. Gotta let us know if you get that bad boy.

We always talk about the one we didn't catch which has been the story for me this year. I wish I could have been there,I'd have caught that big un.;);)Nice fish Ff. One day I'll make it down there.

I'll think I'll pack my suitcase when you start talking about 5 pound crappie. The biggest crappie I ever caught was a little over 2 pounds in the snake River.

2-2 1/2 foot chop on the lake today broke My rear transducer loose from the pounding ended up with 43 nice fish here's the Grandson with a nice black and white the swap jig caught all of them He had Me for a little bit ,but experience caught up with Him when the bite slowed He had agood time!
