OK, OK, Grenada 11-19-09

It stunk. I stunk. The fish stunk. There, ya happy?

Final tally was 1 keeper, 1 catfish. Missed 5 or 6 bites including two that absolutely hammered it and took my rod down in the water to the 5th or 6th eye. Not sure what's up with that.

Fished 3 different places, one old, one from last year and one brand new. Covered water from 30 to 17'. Fish and shad everywhere, but couldn't buy a bite hardly. Dunno, maybe the bright blue bird after the front had 'em negative was all I could figure. They were still there in spot 1, some present in spot 2 and loaded in spot 3.

If I had it to do over, I'd have looked at the river channels for even deeper water, but the wind kicked a little and had to nix that idea.

I'm definitely developing a strong and distinct pattern though...pretty much every time I go here lately, I don't catch anything. I'm thinking about not inviting myself on my next trip and that way I can trick them fishes and give 'em the bidness.

Saw maybe 8 boats fishing, which is a lot for this time of the year on Grenada. Especially for a Thursday. Which tells me somebody, sometime shortly ago was whackin' 'em good. Extrapolated, 8 boats on a Thursday in November would be equivolent to 185 in April.
