After getting on the the lake to test my new 788ci, I did a snapshot of this view and I have some questions. To me I thought that was a bait ball under the curser with some fish around and on the bottom with maybe a small amount of cover.
Am I reading this correctly? I am still working on tweaking the settings.
Any advice or interpretations of the shot?

On the right hand side of the screen, the green and blue bait signal at 10 feet has vertical blank lines chopping it up. I think that means that your transducer is pulsing too slowly. If you increase the speed of the sound pulses it may provide a better picture. Also do you have the color set to ice mode? That’s the most confusing setting. The green and blue ball right by the temperature is probably bait . I don’t think that a large fish is going to let you drive right over top of it like that. Shad can’t get out of the way that quickly. I think that the signal by the curser is bait. Single large fish usually make a more compact signal. The bait with the strong return (Red) is probably directly under the boat while the green and blue bait without the red is off to the side of the transducer. All I see is bait. Unless you have a gigantic fish bigger than school of shad! This is just my opinion.
